Project Brief & Overview

The primary purpose of a landing page is to encourage visitors to take action. This action is usually related to lead generation or increasing traffic. As BluTV design team, we want to use a landing page to encourage people to explore BluTV, grab a free trial and sign up for BluTV to watch our unique content.

My role for this project ranged from conducting user research to designing user interfaces and prototyping.

UX Audit

At first, I visited BluTV's landing page and conducted an audit to gain a better understanding of how the current BluTV features, structure, and to identify the experience.

The existing pages of BluTV had old design patterns and branding of BluTV, and its features were not displayed accurately. There were no dynamic category landing pages for genres like movies, series, documentaries, kids, etc. I thought it was difficult for users to discover content with the current structure.

Competitor Analysis

I conducted competitor research by comparing Netflix, HBOMax, Disney+ and others in order to deepen my understanding of the current streaming service market. From the competitor research, I recognized that BLuTV has a market opportunity in Live TV channel services because while many of them do not have it.

Persona

I drafted a user persona in order to see who I'm designing for Deniz, who is a young professional and loves to watch movies, documentaries, and TV channels in his leisure time. Deniz heard BluTV one of his colleagues at work. He comes and wants to explore the BluTV web platform. His main goals are to get information about the service and subscribe to BluTV in the end.
